It is reported in the Ṣaḥīḥ that the Prophet ﷺ said:
"No one is more patient with the harm he hears than Allah. They attribute to Him a son and a partner, yet He provides for them and grants them well-being."
For this reason, Muʿādh ibn Jabal used to say:
"Do not show mercy to the Christians, for they have insulted Allah with an insult with which no human being has ever insulted Him."
